Our Water

Riverbend's riverside, mountain view, hot mineral springs are just what you need for a relaxing retreat and a truly healing experience. Of all of the many hot springs in the southwest, Riverbend is truly unique.

The therapeutic benefits of our geothermal water have been known and used long before Geronimo and his Apache warriors left their weapons behind and spent the most peaceful time of their lives here as guests of Chief Victorio of the Warm Springs Apaches.

People continue to use our enchanted water to find relief from pain, to detoxify their bodies, and to melt away their stress. Come soak by the hour or stay the night and soak all day.

Riverbend Hot Springs offers the only open-air hot springs on the banks of the Rio Grande River, allowing our bathers to relax in our marvelous rock pools, while breathing fresh air and enjoying the views of Turtleback mountain or our starry nights.

Our water has no sulfur smell, yet is some of the richest mineral water in the country. Check out the mineral content.

Our Pools

Riverbend offers a choice of public or private pools. Our public pools consist of four unique pools, with a river deck and mountain view. All of the pools are a different temperature ranging from 103-107 degrees. There is also a cold water plunge available and a cold water shower coming very soon. The public pools are perfect for meeting other folks and socializing while you relax. They are available by the hour or are free for our overnight guests (see below).

Our private pools are perfect for those that desire to bathe au natural or would like more peaceful privacy. They are walled on three sides but open to the riverside mountain view. Each have their own river deck and chairs, as well as curtains for even more optional privacy.

Try Rio for its 106 degree water and its incredibly close proximity to the river. Soak in Cielo for its milder temperature and its majestic size and view. Private pools are available by the hour and are discounted for our overnight guests.
